The UK Young Horse
Show Jumping Championships 2005 was held at Addington Manor from 9th
to 11th August and was heralded as a huge success.
Due to the fact that there has simply never been a show jumping championship
for young horses, the standard of competition and the number of entries
reflected the dedication by British breeders to produce quality horses
and showcase them. The large spectator attendance reflected this and
the show was also chosen to be a viewing trial
for the World Breeding Federation Championship for Young Horses at Lanarken
in September 2005.
We are now looking
to this year's event for which we already have the support to make it
even bigger than last year's show. We are now looking for more involvement
from breeders and supporters for the show which is on the 8th,
9th and 10th August at Addington Manor. We are anticipating
twice as many entries (over 300)
and we have full backing from both the Anglo
European Studbook, Addington Manor and the BSJA. We are looking
for people and businesses within the equestrian industry to become involved
in what is going to be a permanent annual fixture in the equestrian
calendar.
