Anglo European Studbook founder and manager Henk Minderman's Renkum Off-Centre, by Renkum Valentino, was the only British Bred horse at the recent World Breeding Federation Young Horse Championships at Lanaken, to reach one of the finals (5 year old).
One fence down in the first round over 1.30m obstacles witheld him from a place in the top ten. Two hundred 5 year old horses competed over 2 days, 49 qualified for the finals by jumping double clears.
Phillip Miller on Penny Cornish's Licensed stallion Univeau also qualified for the 5 year old final. Both young stallions are up-graded to fully Approved AES status based on their outstanding performances, beating most in a very strong field of foreign approved stallions.
Marcolas G is also upgraded to Approved AES status in the 6 year old category, owned and ridden by Simon Nicholson.
Based on their performances
at Lanaken and abroad the 6 year old stallions Caritier Z and Talan,
both owned by Di & Pennie Cornish, are also up-graded to Approved.
