The AES has recently held a number of Stallion grading shows throughout Europe - namely Holland, England, France and Ireland.
On Saturday 26th November a record number of entrants attended the English grading at Solihull RC totaling 57. The grading began with the 2 ½ and 3 year olds trotting up and then loose jumping in the arena.
The standard was extremely high and judging was carried out by Geoff Glazzard and Charles Edwards. A total of 15 loose jumping stallions were graded as follows:

The three levels of grading
are:
Registered - can cover up to 10 of the owner's own mares.
Licensed - can cover up to 30 mares.
Approved - can cover an unlimited number of mares.
After lunch the judges returned with the results for the morning grading and then began the trot up for stallions 4 years and over. Following the trot up the stallion jumped a short track of jumps with the 4 year old horses jumping 1.10m with older horses jumping a bigger track. At the end of the afternoon the dressage horses were required to perform some dressage movements.

On Friday 9th December the judges flew to Ireland to attend the first ever AES stallion grading there. This was held at Kill International and was attended by stallion owners from both Northern Ireland and Ireland. The results are as follows:
