The well attended
BSJA stallion show was held on Thursday 6th October at the newly rennovated
UNEX Towerlands EC in Essex. Classes comprised as follows:
Clear Round
4 Year Old 1.00m
5 Year Old
Grade C 1.20m
1.30m Open
Stallion assessment
The four year old 1.00m class was jointly won by 5 horses including
2 AES stallions - Midnight Man II, owned by Elizabeth Hudson and ridden
by Christopher Harris is Provisionally Licensed and is by the grey stallion
Randi Elite ex. a Dex mare; Temple Urgent owned by Temple Stud and ridden
by Jonathan Egmore is AES licensed and is by the KWPN stallion Osminm.
The five year old class was won by Cartier Z, an AES licensed stallion
owned by Nigel Eccles and ridden by Phillip Miller. Cartier Z is by
Chellano Z out of a Concorde mare. In second place was Dino V by Didiman
II. Although not yet graded with the AES, Dino V is registered with
the studbook and is owned and ridden by Ray Everett.
In the 1.30m Open class there were 6 AES stallions placed in the top
8 rankings. Rudi Weinreich's stallion Drossage topped the bill, ridden
by Tim Stockdale. Drossage is Approved AES and is by Drossan out of
a Lauriston mare. Tracey Forrest's stallion Romanov II came second under
Philip Spivey, Romanov is by Heartbreaker Ex. Fedor mare - Darco. In
third place came Primas, an Approved AES stallion by Koppdmy out of
a Ramzes mare, Primas is owned and ridden by Tim Stockdale. The Licensed
stallion Baron Graphite came fifith with Clare Beecham (owned by Anita
Bolam), Baron Graphite is by Grannex ex. a Baron B mare. In 6th place
came the stunning coloured stallion Ocombo De L'Eau, Approved AES, ridden
by Pennie Cornish and onwed by Diana Cornish. Ocombo De L'eau is by
Concorde ex. a Samber mare. In 8th place was John Bircham's stallion
Count Alaric, ridden by Patrick Nisbett, this stallion is Licensed AES
and is by Graf Grannus out of a Landadel mare.
